Q- What about the rights to my artwork? Do I lose them to comicracy?
A- NO! Please don't misunderstand this issue, we are not trying to take the rights to your artwork in any way. You own the material and have individual rights to your artwork as a stand alone solo piece. You are giving us the sole right to publish it within the storyline and you still will get 90% of any profit. This keeps someone from claiming that the entire storyline is their property, even if they only contributed to 3 pages out of a 50 pages. You do need to be aware that we have the right to request a higher quality copy of the artwork for any print purposes.
Q- I want to start my own storyline on your website, can I do this?
A- We will eventually run a create your own storyline contest. In the meantime you can introduce other characters within the existing storylines as long as its not someone else's material (no Batman cameo appearances.)

Q- I'm only a writer, can I partner up with someone?
A- Yes, each user profile has a specialty noted, for example pencils, writer, inks etc.. If you cant do it all alone then you can always contact another user by looking through the user database then sending them a message. When you submit your work make a comment that you are submitting as a team. The user submitting will automatically be designated as the team leader. That person will be receiving any possible future pay. You and your partner(s) must decide how the money will be split. We HIGHLY recommend that you have an agreement in writing between teammates before submitting a team entry.

Q- What size do my files have to be when sending in my submissions?
A-Each separate page should be 825 X 1068,, individual file size should be no larger than 700K. If you submit a file that is not within these guidelines it will not be received. ALWAYS save a larger size for yourself and keep the original, if you win a contest we will require this in case that storyline goes into print and we need higher quality image. Larger files size should be at 1700 x 2200 and 200 PPI. See a sample page.

Q- Ok, if fifteen people submit comic entries aren't you going to end up with a 15 way tie, assuming everyone votes for themselves?
A- No, we have already registered a large number of independent voters. Also those who don't submit but are still members can vote on a contest they did not enter. In fact we encourage it by giving 100 comic points every time you vote, regardless of whether you have entered the contest or not. Comic points add up, and keep you in the running for the annual awards, so someone who only votes and never submits can still win some sweet prizes at the end of the year. Also we have incorporated a ratings system in case of a tie, the submission with the highest rating will win.
