Why I created Comicracy...

I'm getting sick and tired of looking at all these awesome webcomic sites where the user has so much talent... but probably sells paint for a living. There is way to much talent out there, and I know everyone can't be a comic book artist, but it would be nice if everyone could contribute to a comic book. I'm not talking about the full time comic book pro here, I created comicracy for the average Joe with some crazy comic book art talent, this is who I want to join my website. Maybe you cant become a comic book artist due to location, school, military, etc. But here you can contribute even if your not a full time pro and possibly make some full time pro income, that's why I created Comicracy. Here you don't have to be a professional full time comic book artist to participate.. You just have to love to draw, write or even just read comics and your not opposed to being a team player. You can contribute as much or as little as you like. We will never tell you that you have to do more work if you win a contests, its up to you. You have the freedom to participate in as many contests as you like. Most of all I want you to enjoy this website and have fun, and you never know what It can lead to until you give it a shot. So the more people that view your pages ..the more revenue the ads generate. Not only does the leaderboard ad on your winning pages generate you revenue but remember those fifty people you competed against...as the WINNER the leaderboard ads on ALL of those pages are now generating you exclusive revenue. So every time they show their page to one of their friends or someone happens to look at it in our archives, it increases how much you get paid. Lets create an example... you win a contest that only 10 people competed in. Your pages that are incorporated into the storyline get the most hits, then you get all the non-winning pages for the same contest combined which are generating hits, so when its all said and done the total amount of times that add is seen a day is worth an advertiser to pay us 3.00 per day. Well that isn't much is it? Ok, times that 3.00 over 90 days, you just made 270.00 for winning three pages. But it keeps going on and on for as long as your pages and your competitors are getting hits, so if you multiply that 3.00 by 365 days, you earned 1095.00 for the year. Not bad for winning three pages out of a comic book, of course you could always win more, and more, and more... its up to you. Your a comic book artist, now start getting paid for it.

The leaderboard is an ad at the top of the page measuring 728 by 90 pixels.

How do the contests work?

Unlike other website that run webcomic contests, we don't have you submit your original material, instead we have you work within an existing storyline created by Comicracy... For example on the home page if you click on the cover of one of the 3 comics you will read about the storyline and the main character. Your job will be to win the contest by submitting 3 pages that can be applied to the existing storyline WITHOUT drastically altering the plot or main character. For example, lets take the Plant Life storyline after you have signed up you check the contest details tab on the main page.

(EXAMPLE ONLY)

The contests is announced - Create pages 1-3 of Plant Life

Deadlines and Prize money- You have 11 days , $150 prize money startup bonus + all entries Leaderboard revenue.

Comicracy's Vision- You must portray Sgt. Carter and his team parachuting into Nebito Island, demonstrate the islands hostilities and seriousness of the mission, initialize a conflict (ex. team gets split up, someone disappears, etc.)

and of course you must follow the rules and terms of this website.

After all the close of submissions we will post all of the entries without any data as to who the authors are, the submissions will be up for two days of voting. After the two days of voting a winner will be announced, the winner will have had the most popular votes, if their is a tie then the winner will be the entry with the highest rating.

And after all that a new contest begins for the next three pages.
